About The Club

pitch

Rockmore GAA Club was formed in 1985 when two local men (John Murphy and Michael O’Toole) decided to get a group of lads together for a challenge match against a visiting team from Donegal who were in the region playing a series of games. The interest shown in that game and the requests from people within the community for more has seen Rockmore GAA grow from very humble beginnings to being the pride of the parish!

We now have teams ranging from u8’s all the way through to adult men & ladies teams. Rockmore GAA Club participate in Gaelic Football, Hurling and Camogie and are the current midlands champions in a number of age groups and disciplines.

New members are welcome throughout the year so drop by the Club anytime as we’d be delighted to give further information and insight into what we have to offer you and your family.

If you’d like to chat to someone before you visit, just call one of the following…

Well Done to Our U16 Camogie Champions!

cupCongratulations to our u16 Girls who took home the Camogie Championship on Saturday after a pulsating game against Abbey GAA Club in Semple Stadium.

As well as the girls themselves their coaching team of Marion Short, Paul Duggan & Catherine McNally deserve a mention as they have worked tirelessly for a number of years with this squad and we hope they enjoy their deserved success.

This was a super result for a team who have grown in skill and determination throughout the season. See our Match reports section for more on this terrific win…

The Lotto is Coming Back!!

We are delighted to say that the interest is fierce and we will be re-launching the lotto in the coming weeks.

Ticket prices and the initial prize fund is being discussed at the moment and we will update with everything you’ll need to know shortly.

Membership Information

membership Our membership process is very simple! Just pop along to the Club between 4.00pm-6.00pm any Saturday and look for our Sign Up desk.

There is a nominal membership fee of €20 per year and we do ask that all members help us to fundraise as and when the opportunity presents itself. We keep fundraising events to a minimum but they are a necessary part of our life to ensure that we can continue to offer the wide variety of activities that we do today.

Note: We currently have a fun competition running whereby all members are entered into a draw for a very special trip (for 2). To be in with a chance of winning, make sure that you’re a fully signed up member by Jan 29th.
