Under 11s LDSL Green
Lee Estate was on the cards last Monday in what we knew was going to be tough game against a very strong Star Rovers side. Our squad on the day consisted of Kyle Molloy, Shay Quigley, Cameron O Grady, Callum O Connell, Ger Daly, Dessie Collins, Shane Franklin, Scott Mc Grath, Patrick Phelan, Josh O Grady and under 8 player Chad Molloy who had been called up after some impressive performances in the small sided games of late. Due to illness of our usual keeper we were forced to use Kyle Molloy for the first half and Cameron O Grady for the second half, great stuff from both lads, Cameron pulled off some very important saves and it could have been a different game without him.
In a thrill a minute game with a magnificent second half display from the ‘ BORO BOYS ‘, Kyle Molloy was the star of the show when he bagged himself a spectacular second half hat-trick, 3 goals of real quality including another free kick. Josh O Grady got back to goal scoring form when he bagged 2 fine goals also the usual suspects Callum O Connell and Shane Franklin, both familiar names of late on the score sheet.
8 year Chad Molloy had a superb outing for us on his debut for the under 11s, the young lad had a great game and is looking like a real crowd pleaser. Dessie Collins and Shay Quigley were brilliant again this evening and both are showing real improvement every week. Patrick Phelan, Ger Daly and Scott Mc Grath were top performers for us and always give 100% for the club. Back to winning ways, Well done guys….UP THE BORO!

Under 11 Greens
Mungret was the destination this past Friday to face a rampant Mungret Regional team. We were brought back down to earth with a bang in this game and we suffered a heavy defeat after a great run of good results.
Jay Mc Mahon, Cameron O Grady, Shay Quigley, Callum O Connell, Kyle Molloy, Dessie Collins, Ger Daly, Shane Franklin, Scott McGrath, Patrick Phelan and Josh O Grady made the short trip to Mungret.
We were always on the back foot in this game and never got going but on a bad day for us Shane Franklin and kept up his excellent goal scoring form also Jay Mc Mahon had a fine outing between the sticks.
A minor set back, I’m sure the lads will be back to winning ways real soon. Best for us on the day were Kyle Molloy, Callum O Connell and Cameron O Grady. UP THE BORO !

The panel on the day was Ger Daly, Adam O Shea, Shay Quigley, Cameron O Grady, Kyle Molloy, Dessie Collins, Shane Franklin, Patrick Phelan and Scott Mc Grath.
This was an absolute goal fest with the standard of finishing was second to none from 2 very talented teams. We raced into an early 4 goal lead but the opposition pulled 2 back late in the first half. The guys had a superb second half tacking on 4 more goals and eventually winning 8-3.
Great stuff guys ye really played good football throughout and the passing at times was sublime, great to see everybody enjoying themselves and the smiles on your faces is just something money can’t buy also just a quick thank you to the parents for their excellent support in recent weeks, keep up the good work.
Goals on the day for us came from the birthday boy and man of the match Shane Franklin who hit the back of the net an amazing 4 times with the pick of his goals being an acrobatic overhead kick others on the scoresheet were, Kyle Molloy, Cameron O Grady, Dessie Collins and an absolute cracker from the boot of Shay Quigley. U12 Division Two
Janesboro 1-1 Summerville
On Saturday 31st October 2015 our under 12 played away to Summerville Rovers for this top of the table clash in what turn out to be a very entertaining game . Right from the start both teams settled well, with both defences well on top. With ten min gone Summerville tested our keeper with a shot outside the box, which brought a fine save from Dara Mc Caffrey in the boro goal. Both teams seem to be evenly match throughout the pitch , and Summerville got the break through after 20 min to put them 1 nil up at half time In the second half the boro came more and more into the game and the efforts were rewarded within 15 min played well a great pass from midfield caught the Summerville defence for Tony Casey the slot home the equaliser from the boro. The remainder of the second half both teams were going in search of what would be a winning goal, but both defences were excellent on the day and the game finished 1 all in what was a very enjoyable game to watch. For the boro this was a great team effort who showed great character after going 1 nil down to equalise in the second half.

U11
The under 11’s kept their unbeaten streak for another week with a well earned and hard fought draw in a ten goal thriller against a towering Regional side. The panel on the day consisted of Jay Mc Mahon, Cameron O Grady, Callum O Connell, Kyle Molloy, Ger Daly, Dessie Collins, Josh O Grady, Scott Mc Grath, Shane Franklin. This was a real gem of a game from two excellent footballing sides and in the end a draw was a fair result considering we were 4-2 down at one point but again the lads showed their quality and determination to lead the game 5-4 towards the end. Kyle Molloy was the star of the show with an amazing hat-trick showing everybody how lethal he is from dead ball situations with 3 goals all from free kicks.
Ger Daly got his first of the season when he showed his strength in the area fending off defenders then smashing the ball into the back of the net, fully deserved of his goal as Ger works tirelessly in every game for Boro and always gives 110%. Our fifth goal came from the boot of Callum O Connell when his looping effort flew into the top corner, lovely finish from Callum who has a great habit of scoring in recent weeks with some very important goals. Along with the scorers we had superb outings from Cameron O Grady, Dessie Collins, Scott Mc Grath, Shane Franklin, Josh O Grady and Jay Mc Mahon.

u14 Division One
Granville 3-2 Janesboro
The 14s made the short trip to Glenbrook to play league leaders Granville Rangers and despite putting in our best performance to date somehow we left empty handed. Right from the start we took the game to Granville with our midfield 3 of Christopher Keane, David Power and Captain James O Connor dominating midfield and finding the clever runs of striker Aidan Kirby. After 20 minutes we made a deserved breakthrough when left back Jack Foleys great cross was flicking on by Boro debutant Ryan Wallace Hartnett into the path of Aidan Kirby who controlled with his right before expertly dispatching to the top corner with his left. With our tails now up we pushed for a second before half time with the gifted Johnathan Moran tormenting every defender who crossed his path. Keeper Roy Higgins hardly had a save to make in the half thanks mainly to the great work of the ever reliable Dominic Kelly at right back our centre half pairing of Glen Kelly and Jason Murray were solid and dealt with any threat easily while left back Jack Foley spent most of the half on the attack creating numerous chances.
We knew Granville would up their game second half and that they did. We weathered the first 5 minutes comfortably before out of nowhere we conceded an equaliser. Undettered we went right back on the attack with Ryan Wallace Hartnett going close twice firstly heading a Jack Foley corner against the post and then cutting in from the left and testing the keeper at his near post. Unfortunately Granville took the lead against the run of play when a long punt of field caught out our back 4 and the striker gave Roy Higgins no chance. Showing admirable heart and battling qualities we fought back to equalise when Jack Foley picked up the ball in midfield and slipped a great through ball to the onrushing James O Connor who fired past the onrushing keeper. With momentum now with us it looked like we would push on and win the game cruelly that was not to be the case when less than a minute after equalising Granville got the winner although there was more than a hint of offside about the goal. We gave everything we had get a deserved 3rd goal however in the end we ran out of steam with the closest we came to scoring a David power free kick that just cleared the bar and a Christopher Keane shot from 25 yards that went a couple of yards wide.
It would be unfair to pick a standout player as everyone gave their all and more importantly played without fear. We have plenty of positives to take going forward.

Janesboro 7-1 Aisling Annacotty C
On Friday evening our under 12 hosted Aishling Annacotty in Pearse Stadium .Right from kick off we settled well into the game , playing some good passing football, that led to Jack O Brien testing there keeper with a fine strike .Our midfield pairing of AJ.McCormack, Lennon Nixon with Kyle Molloy and Jack O Brien on the wings started to control and dominate midfield , with ten min gone it showed with a fine cross from AJ.McCormack found Lee Earls inside the Aishling box who scored with a neat finish to the bottom left hand corner of the net to put the Boro 1 nil up .Moments later another great ball into the box found Lee Earls who turned their defence to shoot , his shot was saved by their keeper legs only for Kyle Molloy to finish from close range to make it 2 nil.
With 15 min gone a great strike by AJ.McCormack was parried by their keeper and the rebound was buried to the net by Lee Evans to put the Boro up 3 nil .After 20 min Aishling Annacotty were awarded a free kick outside the box that was well saved by Dara McCaffrey in the Boro goals , ten min later the boro scored their fourth goal of the game with a move that started inside their own half , a throw in on the right hand side from Sean O Sullivan found Lee Earls and he put a ball through to AJ.McCormack that split their defence and he coolly finish to the back of net
In the second half Aishling Annacotty did come more and more into the game but the Boro with captain Ross Mc Nally, Sean O Sullivan and Ben McCauley defended well when needed. We introduced Cameron O Grady in the second half and the Boro scored their fifth goal of the game when he found Lee Evans with on the right wing who cut inside the box beating three defenders to rifle the ball to the back of the net for a fine goal, moments later another great ball from midfield found Lee Earls to score his fourth goal of the game. With five min left the Boro rounded off a great team performance when Lee Earls was again put through from midfield to score the Boro’s seventh goal, and his fifth goal of the game. For Aishling Annacotty who had a never say died attitude battled hard throughout the game, just came across a stronger Boro team on the night. For the boro this was again another great team effort , with every player on the night playing well.
